The sun continues to beat down on Edmonton. We really have had some glorious sunshine for the most part since we arrived.

I have been hear for 4 weeks.I have really good time!
I went to the Capital EX day before yesterday with my friends. It was fantastic! We ride all riding there and we stay there until 11:30. I was extremely tired.
I will go to Banff from tomorrow until on Sunday. I'm excited go there.

I went to Capital Ex with my friends yesterday and we had so much fun time there. It's an amusement park that hold in every once a year and there has many food booths and shopping booths. I love the scary rides!! and I went to Farmers market on last Saturday! That's like a ASAICHI in Japan. I got mini doughnuts and Raspberries there! I love Raspberry so much. So I think that was a great place. Our stay is least only a month, but I hope to spend fun times with friends. I really enjoy here!!! good bye~~ :)))

Hello!
We have been here for 4 weeks already so we just only 26 days left before we go back to Japan.I really don't wanna go back to Japan because I have really awesome time here.
I went to Calgary and Banff last weekend with my host family. It was really fun but I get many scratches from mosquito. Also I went to the Capital EX just day before yesterday. There was really awesome place. I wanna go there again but there is really expensive to go there so I won't go again.
Anyway, I will enjoy lest of the time.

Ryuta Inoue (4th blog)
エドモントンに来てから、3週間がたちました。天気は毎日不安定で、晴れたり、大雨が降ったりしています。火曜日ホワイトアベニューに行きました。ホワイトアベニューにはたくさんの店があって火曜日は本屋によっていい土産があったので買いました。そして、フローズンヨーグルト専門のみせに行きました。この店はいくらでも取るここができて、重さによって価格が変わるような方式でした。もちろんアイス系が好きな僕はたくさん食べました。1つで約6ドルかかりました。ですが今までのフローズンヨーグルトのなかで1番美味しかったです。

The fourth week and the weather has changed. It was very sunny before but now it has started raining.
I found some interesting things. For example, In Canada the people work walk in the rain and don't use an umbrella. Why? It seems strange to me.

エドモントンに来て、ついに４週目になりました。
振り返ってみると、エドモントンに来てすぐのことが、すごく懐かしく思えます。
ホストファミリーとも、毎日たくさん会話して、仲良く過ごしています。
あと１ヶ月もないと考えると、悲しくなります。
先週の週末、すみかが私の家にお泊まりに来てくれました。一緒にトルコ料理を食べ、たくさん話して、すごく楽しみました！
今週の土曜日、同じクラスの友達とCapital EXに行く予定です。たのしみ:)
エドモントンは最近雨が続いています。でも、雨上がりの空はとてもキレイなので、日本の雨ほど憂鬱にはなりません。
残り３週間、 悔いの残らないように全力で楽しみ、家族との絆を深めたいと思います。

半分を過ぎ吹奏楽の本番がある事を思い出してなるべく毎日吹くようにしています！
でもヤバいですw口の筋肉が緩んじゃって肺活量がなくなってうまく吹けません。
来週私のホストハウスにひかるがきます。そして、明日ひかるとエドモントンモールにいきます。日曜日にはプールに行きます。毎日楽しいです！

I went to a lot of places in Canada. West Edmonton Mall has a huge water pool and an amusement park.
On July 19th, I went to a parade called "Capital Ex". I though I would only be watching the parade but I joined in!
Many people were watching us on the sidewalk.
All students were wearing the same t-shirts and walking along the road.
The man who wore the mascot character of school was growing livelier. But it looked so hot so I asked him, "Are you OK?" He answered, "I'm OK". We walked and waved our hands along the long road. I enjoyed it so much.
On July 13th, my host family held a birthday party. I invited Hikaru, Rumi, Yume and Sumika. I ate a lot of sushi.
I was surprised because my host family prepared a big chocolate cake. I was so happy.
カナダは自然がとても豊かです。そしてゴミが落ちてません。野うさぎやリスがたくさんいます。かわいいです。カナダの夏は日本の夏ほど暑くありません。しかし気温の変化が激しいです。雨が降ったらすごく寒いです。私の部屋は地下なので雨が降ったら次の日の朝は凍えるぐらい寒いです。なので日本の夏みたいに半袖半ズボンでは寝れません。暑いときは日差しが強いです。でも湿度は高くないので苦しい暑さではないです。日陰に入ると涼しいので過ごしやすいです。そして暑いときの地下は快適です。カナダの家はだいたい地下があります。なんであるのか謎なのですが、ある日バスで出会った日本人の大学教授がトルネードが起きたときに地下へ避難するためにあるんじゃないか、と言ってました。なるほど。
私の家は地下１階地上１階の２階です。キッチンは上下に２つ、シャワーも上下で２つあります。地下のシャワーはユニットバスで私の部屋の中にあります。ドアがないのでシャワーすると湯気がそのまま部屋へ流れ込み、部屋の全ての鏡が曇ります。でもそのシャワーは私専用なので気楽です。ホストファミリーはとてもいい人たちです。ホストファザーのKeithは仕事場が遠いので土日しか帰ってこれないのですが、会うとすごくいい笑顔でお話してくれます。そして家事を積極的にして料理も上手なのでBrandy(ホストマザー)が良い夫をもった、私は幸せだと言ってました。ホストマザーのBrandyは少し心配性なのですが、私のためだと思うと嬉しいです。家事を手伝うとありがとうとハグしてくれます。ホストブラザーのLeviは１歳７か月でとてもかわいいです。最近は警戒心も解けて笑顔で駆け寄ってきて遊ぼうと手を引っ張ってきます。BrandyがLeviはあなたのことがとても好きみたいと教えてくれてとても嬉しかったです。私が学校に居るときに地下への階段に向かって私の名前を呼んでいたことも教えてくれました。Brandyの姉や母にもかなりの頻度で会っています。Brandyの母は私の誕生日にプレゼントをたくさんくれました。姉も母もとても愉快な人たちで楽しいです。あなたがホームステイしてくれてよかったと言われて嬉しかったです。トラブルもなく平和に過ごせています。残りの時間も楽しく笑顔で過ごしたいと思います。

カナダに来てから３週目になり、もうすぐ４週目になろうとしています。
バスと電車での通学にも慣れ、家が近いすみかと一緒に毎日学校に通っています。
日本での生活とは違い、カナダでは一日一日がゆっくりと過ぎていくように感じます。しかし、振り返ってみると、もうすでに３週間が経とうとしていることに気付き、少し驚いています。
すべてが大きく、高いビルが少なく緑が多くて、空が近く、なにより暖かい人がたくさんいます。
ホストファミリーとも毎日コミュニケーションを取っていて、最近momとdadが友達や知り合いに私のことを紹介するとき「ゆめは私たちの娘だよ」と言ってくれます。
お姉ちゃんは「ゆめは妹だよ」と言ってくれます。
まだ慣れなくて、少し恥ずかしくなってしまうけれど、うれしくて、家族の一員になれたと思うと、とても幸せな気持ちになります。
”私は日本には兄弟はいないけれど、カナダには２人のお兄ちゃんと１人のお姉ちゃんがいる”と、今、自信を持って笑顔で言えます。
ESLのクラスでは、みんなフレンドリーで”クラスメイト”ではなく、もう”友達”と言った方がぴったりです。みんな優しくて、先生も面白く、宿題は少し大変だけれど楽しく学校に通っています。
あしたの土曜日には、友達みんなでBBQに行く予定です。そして、そのまますみかが家に泊まりに来ます。
お姉ちゃん、すみか、私でたくさん話をするつもりです。
今からとっても楽しみ♪

Three weeks were passed. I become used to go to school by bus and train, and I go to school with Sumika because our home is so close. Canada's life has a difference in Japan's life.
In Canada, life is so different ti life in Japan. The time passes so slowly in Canada.
I have a communication with my host family everyday. Recently, when my host family introduced me to their family and friends they said "Yume is our daughter". My host sister said "Yume is my sister". I wasn't used too this and I felt a little shy. But I feel happy, too.
I can now proudly say "I don't have any brothers and sisters in Japan but I do have two brothers and one sister in Canada".

Beach name is mammabeach. 11o'clock, South gate station. It's very fun.
But I have stomachache. Tomorrow, I'm laid up with a cold.
7/13, Mie birthday. Mie host mother say[Mie birthday party in my house.]
Mie host house is very big and beautiful! I'm impressed! I ate dinner is sushi. It's delicious! Japan sushi same taste. After, I ate cake. This is big and pretty chocolate cake. This cake draw flower.
Mie host mother cut cake. Host mother give we small cake and chocolate tip icecream. It's very sweet. 7/8, Hikaru's birthday. again ate sushi.
I went to the Sake shop. It's sushi is really good but very small.
Hikaru's host mother gave me a cup cake. It's nice and sweet.

カナダに来て３週間が過ぎようとしています。
私は毎朝公園を通るのでたくさんの蚊に遭遇します。なので毎朝全力疾走しています。こちらの蚊はさされるとチクッとします。かゆみだけでなく痛みもともないます。そして蚊がついてくるのが早いので振り払うのが大変です。でも体力がついてきたかもしれません。
そして最近バスに乗るのが楽しみです。バスの運転手さんはフレンドリーで挨拶をしてくれます。帰りは毎日同じ運転手さんなので降りるときにThank you!と言うと毎日違う言葉を返してくれます。一昨日は帰りに雨が降っておりバス停が水浸しになっていたので少し手前の安全な場所でおろしてくれました。そして傘を持ってないのを見てGood luck!と言ってくれました。
クラスメイトと先生は私の名前がなかなか発音できません。いつも"へかる"とか"ひ、かる"と呼ばれます。日本に帰るまでには正しい発音で呼んでもらえるよう教え込みます！明日クラスメイトとバーベキューに行くので楽しみです。
The day before yesterday, my host mother taught me how to ride on the bicycle.
It is better to cycle on the lawn but we had to do it on the concrete as the rain meant there were many mosquitos.
I talked to the girl who lived nearby when I was riding on the bicycle. She is 17 years old, the same age as me.
In Canada, the person who is 16 years old can ride on the car. You can drink liquor when you are 18. Somehow, she looked like an adult to me. She seems to know how to ride a car so I felt so shy.
I want to continue riding the bicycle until I come back to Japan.
私は毎朝公園を通るのでたくさんの蚊に遭遇します。なので毎朝全力疾走しています。こちらの蚊はさされるとチクッとします。かゆみだけでなく痛みもともないます。そして蚊がついてくるのが早いので振り払うのが大変です。でも体力がついてきたかもしれません。
そして最近バスに乗るのが楽しみです。バスの運転手さんはフレンドリーで挨拶をしてくれます。帰りは毎日同じ運転手さんなので降りるときにThank you!と言うと毎日違う言葉を返してくれます。一昨日は帰りに雨が降っておりバス停が水浸しになっていたので少し手前の安全な場所でおろしてくれました。そして傘を持ってないのを見てGood luck!と言ってくれました。
クラスメイトと先生は私の名前がなかなか発音できません。いつも"へかる"とか"ひ、かる"と呼ばれます。日本に帰るまでには正しい発音で呼んでもらえるよう教え込みます！明日クラスメイトとバーベキューに行くので楽しみです。
The day before yesterday, my host mother taught me how to ride on the bicycle.

I just arrived 16 days ago. I'm so tired but school is fun. My host family is from China. I want to talk to them but they don't talk too much except at dinner time.
I went to West Edmonton Mall water park last weekend with friends. Then I went to Galaxy Land and a theater. I watched Ice Age 4. It was a lot of fun for me. I bought some clothes and a bag in the Mall.
I went to Churchill Festival with my friend on Sunday.
I played basketball in the sports center. It was so fun! There isn't anywhere to play basketball near my house so I can't play.

I went to West Edmonton Mall water park last weekend with friends. Then I went to Galaxy Land and a theater. I watched Ice Age 4. It was a lot of fun for me. I bought some clothes and a bag in the Mall.

Asami Wakasugi (3rd blog)
I have been in Edmonton for two weeks and a few days already. The first week was really long for me. However, we already live here two weeks. How fast is that. :).
Last weekend, I went to the water park and Galaxy Land at WEM with my friends.
On Saturday, Kaori came to my house and went to WEM together. Then we met Wataru. We went to the Water park, however my feeling became really bad and I couldn't speak or stand up. I thought I cannot go in but, my feeling got better because Kaori cared for me. Then I could enjoy there. We rode the pink one which was the biggest one. It was really scary for me but I want to ride it once again. I don't want to ride the yellow one because that looks really scary and doesn't have any cover at all. After we finished, we did a bit of shopping and then went back to my home for a sleep over.
On Sunday, we went to Galaxyland. Jiyoung and Sebastian came with us. It was a fantastic place. However I couldn't ride on one attraction because of my height. I was too short to ride so I waited for my friends. I still enjoyed it however. We have been doing so much shopping. I don't have much money already!
On Tuesday, I went to watch a movie with Kaori, Wataru and Jiyoung. The movie was called Ice Age 4. It's a really funny movie and I loved it so much. I want to watch many movies now.
Edmontonに来てもう２週間ちょうどすぎました。最初１週間は長く感じたのに気づいたらもう２週間が経っていました。だんだん楽しくなってきて時間が経つのが早いです。
先週の土日はみんなで私の家にSleepoverをして、Water ParkとGalaxy Landに行きました。
土曜日はWater Parkでむちゃくちゃ楽しかったです。はじめにピンクのやつに乗ろうとしたけど、いざ上に行ってみたらカプセルみたいなものに入って、下が急にあく感じのやつだったので、どしょっぱつは無理だと思い違うやつに乗り、次にピンクのやつに挑戦しました。でも、ものすごく怖かったです。めちゃくちゃさけびましたそのあとは昼などを食べて、それからは、何回も３人乗りのうきわと１人乗りのうきわをやっていました。１人乗りのうきわで一気に３人行ってそれが楽しくてずっとそればかりやっていました。７時半くらいにあがって、少しショッピングしてからうちのの家にお泊まりをしました。
日曜日は３人プラスJiyoungとSebasでGalaxy Landに行ってきました。でも、
私たちは３０分おくれてしまいました。（笑）それから、Galaxy Landに行きチケットを買いました。始めに赤いジェットコースターに乗りました。身長が小さくて乗れないかと思いましたが、ギリギリで乗れました。次に乗ろうとしたのは残念ながら身長がたりずに写真係りになってました。日本では１４０cmとかが最高なんでびっくりしました。でも、あまりおもしろくなかったらしいので良かったです（笑）それからも色々なものに乗りました。とちゅう、お化け屋敷があったので入ってみたら案外怖かったです。Sebasが声でおどかしてくるのでそれでうちも、皆さけびました。（笑）
夕方になり、つかれてきたので買い物をして、みんなそれぞれ帰りました。その日は爆睡でした。
月曜日もまた、WEMに学校から行きました。行きすぎてたので見るものがあまりなくて、
アイスを食べただけでした。３：１５になり、皆で集まり解散しました。
６：００くらいまで居るつもりでしたが、すぐ帰ってnapをとりました。６：００頃に起こされ、ママとJosephと一緒に教会のイベントのピクニック的なのに行きましたが人があまりにも少なくて帰りました。

This is the third week the time off so fast,I am 18 although no birthday.July 12th was my birthday happy birthday host family a word not say i am very sad (T T)....
This week Monday, we went to the Edmonton mall .It is North America's largest mall really very big, There are swimming poll and a playground in the mall. Unexpectedly in the mall have a Lamborghini, it is very coll . I first saw the visitor field.
U.A. classes started very early lessons start at 8 o'clock every morning. so I have to go to school at 7:45 in station.
ESL lessons sometime was very funny we use some rice in to the balloon . Rice be every where .Here are rice very thin tip and tip. That's different Japan rice.we made ball some is round but some like eggs. we learn Juggling. we throw the ball and catch the ball . Now I can catch and throw by 3 balls but only one time .
Here is very quiet very comfortable life is very dull I hope there will be a pleasant surprise.

I came to Canada for 2 weeks. I feel staying Canada is early for me. When I go to Edmonton before I feel worried. But now I have an enjoyable time in Edmonton.
For the first week, I got lost. But in Japan I can't get lost so it is a good experience for me.
My homestay family live near to West Edmonton Mall so I usually visit the Mall. West Edmonton Mall is very long so I need to walk a long way. I get very tired but I know where all the shops are.
I went to the ice shop in the Mall. Canada ice is very delicious. An M size in Japan is the same as an S size in Canada and it is so cheap, so I'm happy!
My class went to a festival about art work. I saw some interesting, beautiful and expensive art. I bought 3 pictures for $12.
Last Saturday I went to the beach and a camping ground. I swam in the river but I didn't like it. When I got home, it was raining heavily and I was tired.
I am enjoying my time in Canada.
カナダに来てから2週間がたちました。自分にとってカナダに来てからの2週間はすごく早く感じています。エドモントンに行く前の不安はもう立ち去りました。最初の1週間は迷子をしたけど日本ではありえない経験だと思うのでいい経験ができたと思っています。ホストファミリーの家はウエストエドモントンモールに近いのでよく寄ります。ウエストエドモントンモールは横に長いのでけっこう歩く必要があります。そのためだいぶ疲れます。だけどだいたいどこにどういう店があるのかわかるようになりました。そして全てのアイスクリーム店をまわることができました。サイズは日本のMサイズがカナダではSサイズになっているような具合です。それでも味が素晴らしい。日本と違ってカナダのアイスクリームはこれまた1段とおいしいです。先週の金曜日、アートウォークという道路に絵画や彫刻などを道に並べて売ったりしている祭りに行きました。暑かったけど、思っていた以上に大きな祭りで、面白い絵や美しい絵、明らかに買えなさそうな絵などレパートリーがたくさんあって見るだけでも面白いと思います。ちなみに3枚$12の絵を買いました。土曜日には、2時間くらいかけてキャンプ場に行きました。近くの川に砂浜があったので泳いできました。帰りには大雨が降ってたいへんでした。そして疲れました。

僕は火曜日にホストファミリーを変わる事になりました。
以前から望んでいたので嬉しいです。しかし、昨日準備をしていたら親戚の子供たちが
ちょうどいて準備を手伝ってくれたり、なぜ荷物をまとめているの？などと聞かれ少し
悲しくなってしまいました。
先週の金土日にキャンプに行ってきました。
キャンプではボート遊びやジェットスキーをやる予定でしたが土曜日は一日中テントで
過ごし日曜日は雨が降ってきたので湖にいけずそのまま家に帰宅しました。
その週は、友達とテーマーパークとウォーターパークに行く予定をたてていたのに
このような事態に至りとても悲しく思います。
前章で述べましたようにホストファミリーが変わる事になりましたがホームステイ先の条件としてあげられている４５分以内のホームステイ先にしてもらうようこちらが伝えましたら大学から４３分の場所にされてしまい前のホームステイ先と然程変わらずとても残念でした。それに加え猫アレルギーと書いてあるにもかかわらず猫を飼っている家庭にされ非常に腹立たしくおもいます。

Three weeks were passed. I feel it so quickly.
I'm become familiar with my ESL class. I had friends at there, so I enjoying Canada life.
Last Saturday and Sunday, my host family took me to the city named Calgary. I've never been there, so I was very excited. We stayed at my host mother's cousin's house. It was a big house, and my host mother's cousin was so kind.
On Saturday, we went to the amusement park called "STAMPEDE". It was so huge! I can't go around all of them. At there, everyone wore a cowboy stuff (cowboy hat, jeans, shirts, or boots). It was so cool, and my host mother bought me a cowboy hat. I like it so much. I want to thank to my host mother. It was liked a festival. It has a lot of people and food wagon. But I didn't eat there because it was looked so unhealthy. If I remember right, they sold "Deep-fried OREO" and "Deep-fried cheese cake". I can't believe it. I enjoyed "STAMPEDE", but it was crowd so I was very tired.
In Sunday, I went to the back horse riding with my host mother's cousin.Unfortunately, Sunday was a bad raining.But, we went to the mountain and rode a horse. It was the fist time to ride on a horse, so I was very nervous. But, it was so fun. I want to do it again. We rode a horse and walked the forest. When it was finish, my body was so cold because walked around the forest for a hour! We drunk the hot chocolate and warmed at a fireplace.
It was such on interesting weekend!
カナダに来て２週間が過ぎました。最初は大分抵抗を感じていた生活ですが、３週間目にもなると大分慣れました。ホストファミリーとの会話も最初と比べるとかなり増え、充実した生活を送っています。エドモントンは祭りの多いにぎやかな街で、毎週毎週違う祭りがどこかで開催されます。先々週はストリートパフォーマンスの祭りがあり、ホストファミリーに連れて行ってもらいました。明日もESLのクラスで祭りのパレードに参加するつもりです。このような体験は日本ではなかなかできないものなので、とても楽しみにしています。
